Hello, I am Diaa, a 16-year-old boy. I used to dream of becoming a photographer and participating in swimming competitions, but the occupation took away my dream on August 13, 2024, when I lost both of my arms in the bombing. Despite this, I still have a strong passion for photography and capturing the beauty of nature, but my life changed drastically after that moment.

I was sitting in a cafeteria playing PUBG when a missile from the occupation’s aircraft hit us. When I arrived at the hospital, my left arm was amputated without anesthesia. Half an hour later, I was taken to the operating room, and after four hours of attempts to save my right arm, the doctors were unable to do so. I lost both of my arms.

Just three days after this tragic event, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I am now outside of Gaza, in America, for treatment, but my mother is in very poor condition. She is undergoing chemotherapy, but her health is deteriorating every day. She was hospitalized for three days and returned home on the day the war on Gaza resumed. However, she cannot stay close to my younger siblings because it would put her health at risk.

I hope you can help my mother in any way possible. Please also know that my family is going through a severe financial crisis and does not have access to enough food. I left Gaza with my older sister, but my mother and younger siblings remained behind.
